ACCOUNTING TIP TUESDAY
Did you know? A loan to your business is NOT income.
If you transfer money from your personal account into your business to help with cash flow, it doesn’t automatically count as business income.
The same applies when your business receives a loan.
The important part? Making sure these transactions are recorded correctly in your books!
Incorrectly recording loans as sales can inflate your turnover and create unnecessary tax complications.
💡 Our tip: Always let your accountant know when money paid into your business account is a loan or personal contribution.
A little communication goes a long way!
