Unavailability
When you call your accountant you most likely have a question that needs an immediate answer, however often calls are not answered and

you are subjected to voicemail. You often need to wait for meetings, and then the accountant is always late for the meeting and in a hurry to go once arrived

Last minute tax bills
Unless you pressure your accountant for your taxes its always left to the very last minute. No consideration is given to your possible cash flow constraints; no heads up is given in sufficient time. Reactive advice
Advice is limited to answering of your questions, if you don’t ask, the information is never offered. Get rich focus
Accountants make you feel that the only value you have to them, is how much they can charge you. You only see your accountant in tax season, or even worse, all in one go on annual financial season. You get charged random fees that you aren’t really sure what it is for. And then the actual time you are afforded is always rushed creating a sense that the accountant needs to move on to the next client to make more money. Lack of communication
Follow up is more often than not left to the client and not the other way around. When a client requests a report, the accountant often relies on information from the clients’ staff. The excuse for non delivery is always the same, “we are waiting on x…” Outstanding matters aren’t as important to the accountant as it is to the client!

This submission must reach the offices of the Department of Water and Sanitation by the 18th of July 23.

The proposed water licence changes require that applicants must have black shareholdings, in order to rectify the inequitable allocation to white users.

In a world of numbers and finance so grand,
There was a little accountant with calculator in hand.
She counted and tallied with a smile so wide,
For numbers were here passion, she never did hide.

Debits and credits she knew oh so well,
The balance sheet, the income statement, she could surely tell.
With her hat tipped to the side and her ribbon so neat,
