Are you ready for Tax Season 2026?

SARS announced the following dates for Tax Season 2026 for individual taxpayers:
✅Auto-assessments (non-provisional taxpayers) - 1 July to 12 July 2026

✅Non-provisional taxpayers who are not auto-assessed - 13 July to 23 October 2026

✅Provisional taxpayers - 13 July 2026 to 22 January 2027

Many taxpayers do not need to submit a tax return because they are below the tax submission threshold OR they may feel not to question their auto-assessments OR, in cases where they are not auto-assessed, they may choose not to submit a tax return because they are below the submission threshold.

📍Did you know:
You may lose out on receiving tax back from SARS due to deductions not taken into account by your employer when calculating monthly PAYE.
📍Accepting an auto-assessment or choosing not to submit a return because of being below the submission threshold risks losing out on getting money back from SARS
➡️if there are valid deductions e.g. medical, retirement funds, donations, travel claims, etc. which SARS is unaware of and has not taken into account.
