FINANCE OFFICER REQUIRED
Purpose of the job: Manage and control all finance processing and reporting
Duties and responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain systems and controls to ensure the accounting is
accurate and complete
- Ensure and process customer invoicing done timeously and accurately
- Ensure customer details and invoice requirements e.g. PO Numbers are
adhered to for invoice to be paid by customer
- Ensure customer receives all supporting information as required
- All outstanding debtor accounts to be followed up on in co-ordination with
Head Office
- Review project expenses and assess the validity thereof
- Assist in project costing
- Assist in the annual budget process – sales, divisions and shutdowns.
- Ensure all supplier / expense invoices are submitted to Head office timeously
- Ensure supplier / expense invoices adhere to Head office requirements before
submitted to head office. This will entail that invoice is in terms of VAT Act, all
information is accurate, invoice is approved by relevant manager, invoice has
been allocated to the correct applicable cost centre
- Ensure adequate fixed asset control.
- Ensure petty cash reconciles every month and submitted to Head office
timeously
- Ensure Petty cash controls are adhered to
- Ensure the Utilisation report is processed in terms of the company requirements
and submitted timeously
- Ensure timesheets submitted are accurate and complete and all company
requirements adhered to
- Ensure timesheet summaries are accurate, complete and approved before
submission to Head Office
- Ensure timesheet summaries are submitted to Head Office timeously
- Provide explanations on all variances to budget.
- Report to management all variances, inconsistencies and any irregularities
determined within Branch
- Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses
