(GPCCI) is a non-stock, non-profit organization registered under the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission and was founded in February 2008 by the German business community in the Philippines. The GPCCI upholds its core objective of bilateral trade development via local government cooperation, affiliation with other local chambers and mediation between Germany and the Philippines. The chamber also maintains a strong cooperative function with the European National Chambers and the European Council (EC), for which it functions as representative on key issues. MISSION:
To promote and improve bilateral trade relations between Germany and the Philippines. To serve as the central organ of the German business community in the country.

🔔 On 29 October 2026, the Joint Maritime Committee (JMC) convened to discuss Offshore Wind in the Philippines.

Led by Mr. Carl Martin Faannessen, President of the Philippine-Norwegian Business Council (PNBC), the session provided participants with insights into the development of the Philippine offshore wind sector and its opportunities for the country’s maritime industry.

The Joint Maritime Committee Meeting – October 2026 was co-organized by the Dutch Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines Inc. (DCCP), French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Philippines (CCIFP), German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GPCCI), Italian Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines, Inc. (ICCPI), Nordic Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines (NordCham), Philippine-Norwegian Business Council (PNBC), Belgian-Luxembourg Filipino Business Chamber (BFBC), and Hellenic ASEAN Business Council (HABC).

🇩🇪🇵🇭 Connecting German Meat Producers with the Philippine Market!

The German-Philippine Meat Industry Conference successfully brought together German meat producers and exporters, Philippine industry representatives, and government stakeholders to exchange insights on market opportunities, industry developments, and prospects for stronger bilateral cooperation in the meat sector.

The conference opened with remarks from Stefan Kolbe, GPCCI Board Director, followed by a welcome address from H.E. Dr. Andreas Michael Pfaffernoschke, German Ambassador to the Philippines.

Following an introduction to the German meat industry, five German companies presented their products, expertise, and capabilities: Carne Fleischhandel GmbH, Gebrüder Christ OHG, OMG Oliver Mielke GmbH, WIESENHOF International GmbH, and ZEMO Gebrüder Moser GmbH.

The conference also provided valuable insights into the Philippine meat market, import requirements, food safety standards, and opportunities for cooperation, with contributions from the Meat Importers and Traders Association (MITA) and the National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS), before Karel Alexander-Eichler, Managing Director of GEFA, delivered the closing remarks.

The conference was held as part of the Agricultural Export Promotion Programme of the German Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Regional Identity (BMLEH), with the mission jointly organized by GEFA and AHK Philippinen to support German companies in exploring the market and establishing connections with potential business partners and customers.

Through the Philippine Stroke Policy Roundtable, convened by the APAC Stroke Policy Alliance (ASPA) in partnership with GPCCI, and with the support of Boehringer Ingelheim. Representatives and decision makers from across the healthcare sector came together to discuss priorities in stroke prevention, timely treatment, access to rehabilitation, and long-term patient support.

GPCCI is proud to support collaborative initiatives that turn shared insights into actionable policy priorities and help advance more accessible, coordinated, and patient-centered stroke care for all Filipinos.

German Meat Industry Delegation in the Philippines 🇩🇪🇵🇭

A great start to our German Meat Industry Delegation's visit to the Philippines!

As part of the Agricultural Export Promotion Programme of the German Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Regional Identity (BMLEH), the mission is jointly organized by GEFA and the German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Philippinen).

Our goal is to support German meat producers and exporters in exploring the Philippine market, understanding business opportunities, and connecting with potential partners and customers.

We kicked off the week with a visit to the impressive production facilities of Euro-Swiss Food Inc. in Carmona, Cavite, followed by a visit to Säntis Delicatessen in Makati. Both are part of the Werdenberg Group, a valued member of our Chamber, offering our delegates a great example of how meat production, distribution, and retail come together in the Philippine market. And of course, a sausage tasting could not be missed!

A big thank you to the Werdenberg Group team for the warm welcome, hospitality, and valuable insights into their operations!

We continued with a visit to Metro Supermarket at Market! Market! in BGC, taking a closer look at the local retail landscape and product offerings. Thank you also for your tour!

The day ended with an informal dinner and exchange with Mathias Kruse and Katharina Bandelow from the German Embassy Manila, one of our key partners and supporters of the mission.

A great first day of market insights, valuable exchanges, and new perspectives on the Philippine meat industry!

Building a better business environment requires strong institutions and sustained public-private dialogue. At the 2026 Doing Business Forum, stakeholders came together to discuss practical reforms that can strengthen economic governance and competitiveness.

It was an honor to welcome Mayor Joy Belmonte, Quezon City Mayor and Mayors for Good Governance Lead Convenor as our keynote speaker who presented the key reforms of their LGU on business processes and public service, and H.E. Massimo Santoro, Ambassador of the Delegation of the European Union in the Philippines who provided significant updates on the substantial agreement reached in the EU-Philippines FTA negotiations.

The launch of the Philippine Business Environment Report 2026 serves as GPCCI's standing commitment to work with our partners in the government, industry, academe, and the development sector to make the country's business environment more efficient, stable, and consistent.

Our esteemed panelists also gave their insights on how economic governance can strengthen institutions, and systems and improve the business environment of the Philippines. We are proud to be joined by ARTA Director General Sec. Ernesto V. Perez, Quezon City Head of Business Permits and Licensing Department Ms. Margarita Mejia, and Bosch Philippines Managing Director Ms. Celeste Cervania, with our moderator from the Asian Institute of Management Dr. Jamil Paolo Francisco.
