⚠️ Thinking about keeping or selling the house in your divorce?

Please hear this:
Your divorce attorney is not a mortgage expert.
Your financial advisor is not a housing strategist.

They are incredible at what they do—but when it comes to the marital home, you need a specialist, not a generalist.

The marital home is often your biggest asset AND your biggest liability. 🏡
Making the wrong decision can affect your credit, cash flow, future homeownership, and long-term financial stability.

It’s not just about “can I afford it now?”
It’s about:
🔹 Can you qualify on paper?
🔹 Will your settlement terms allow you to refinance or assume the mortgage?
🔹 Are you walking away with what you think you are?

This is where divorce mortgage planning comes in.
It’s not about selling you something—it’s about protecting your future.

👉 Before you make a decision about the house, talk to someone who knows exactly how divorce and lending intersect.

📥 Message me or schedule a time to chat.
Let’s make sure your biggest asset doesn’t become your biggest mistake.

Your attorney is there to protect your legal rights—not your financial future.

One of the biggest mistakes I see in divorce is relying on your attorney to guide your financial decisions—especially when it comes to the house.

Here’s the truth:
Attorneys aren’t trained in mortgage guidelines, loan qualifications, or long-term financial strategy.
That’s not a knock on them—it’s just not their job.

They’re there to:
• Navigate the legal system
• Advocate for you in court (if needed)
• Draft and review legal documents
• Ensure your rights are protected

What they can’t do is tell you whether you’ll qualify to refinance, if you can afford to keep the home long-term, or how to structure equity division to protect your credit and cash flow.

That’s my lane.

As a Divorce Mortgage Specialist, I work alongside attorneys to help you understand your real options—before you agree to anything you can’t follow through on.

Did you know? Divorce mortgage planning is a complimentary service I offer—because it’s not just about a loan, it’s about your life.

Navigating the financial implications of divorce, especially when it comes to the marital home, can be overwhelming. That’s where I come in.

This is what I do.
98% of my business is focused on helping divorcing homeowners make informed, strategic decisions—before anything is signed.

I guide you through options around equity, refinancing, mortgage qualification, and future housing plans—so you can move forward with clarity and confidence.

There’s no cost to consult with me—just insight, strategy, and support.

Going through a divorce? Let’s talk. Your home deserves a plan.

You can grieve something you chose.

Even if you were the one who asked for the divorce…
Even if you knew the relationship couldn’t be saved…
Even if you’re confident it was the right decision.

Grief still shows up.

It can feel like a wave of sadness out of nowhere, a song that catches you off guard, or an ache for the future you once imagined.

There’s no “right” way to mourn a marriage.
There’s no gold star for being the one who initiated it.
You’re still human. You still loved. You still hoped.

Be gentle with yourself.

Choosing peace doesn’t mean you won’t miss what was familiar.
Letting go doesn’t mean it never mattered.

Grief and growth can coexist.

Share with someone that needs to hear this today. đź’ś

I see you, Mamas.
Mother’s Day can feel tender when you’re in the middle of a divorce. Maybe the day isn’t going how you imagined. Maybe the kids are too little to understand, or maybe they’re not with you today at all. You’re carrying the weight of two roles, trying to smile through the ache, and wondering if anyone sees how hard you’re trying.

I want you to know—I see you.
You are doing sacred, invisible work. Every time you show up with love while your heart is breaking… every time you create calm in chaos… every time you choose to protect your children’s peace over your own pain, you are mothering with a strength the world doesn’t always recognize.

It’s okay if the day feels complicated. You don’t have to fake joy or silence your grief. You are still a good mom. In fact, you are becoming the kind of mother who shows her children what resilience looks like in real time.

If no one tells you today: You are seen. You are strong. You are loved.

Happy Mother’s Day, warrior mama. Keep going—you’re leading with love, and that is everything.

Song pairing suggestion: “Brave” by Sara Bareilles—because you are.

5.0 star review received on Experience.com for Tami Wollensak by Jesse G A - Tami was amazing and continually was supporting me with different options during my divorce on how to proceed with the refi. After weeks of the judge taking longer than expected, Tami came up with new solutions and was able to close in a very short timeline. This was by far the best refi experience I have ever had

Every 4–6 years you show up, answer some questions, maybe take a quick “emotional road test”…
   •   Are we still headed in the same direction?
   •   Do we still want to drive this thing together?
   •   Or are we just co-existing in the same garage?

If yes—renew and celebrate.
If no—uncouple kindly and hand over the keys.

Honestly, it could save a ton in legal fees and therapy bills.
