The first meeting minutes in the Warsh era showed most Fed officials see two potential paths for interest rates this year — holding steady or hiking — though a few saw reasons for an increase.

A rigid plan limits you. A dynamic plan empowers you.

We recently met with our clients who began financial planning with us 3 years ago. They both work in grant-funded positions that depend on government funding. With the DOGE cuts and other uncertain government budget cuts they are concerned for their job security. Add to that an aging parent who lives 3 hours away and has high needs. As this story is unfolding our goal is to plan for the different scenarios that could come about- including retiring early if need-be. We’ve been keeping a pulse on their situation and are ready for whatever may come their way. Should everything work out the way they first envisioned- we have a plan, but we also have a plan if an early retirement becomes imminent. That’s what we call freedom- the ability to choose between different options.

Life evolves — your financial strategy should too.
Through our monthly subscription plan, we continue to tweak your plan to constantly align you with your goal, thus giving you options instead of limitations.

Here’s an example: A long-time client of ours is a single mother with a special needs child. She has done all the planning necessary to provide for him now and when she’s gone, but the one thing she can’t control is other people. She has a Special Needs Trust that will accept her assets when she passes on, but it will remain dormant while she’s alive. In the meantime, her son has moved out of the house and is living independently, carrying the weight of adulthood on his shoulders. He is accepting governmental benefits and working on life skills to eventually secure employment. Meanwhile, his grandfather has continually mentioned he plans to leave a substantial amount of money to him outright when he passes, which would result in him losing his governmental benefits. His grandpa refuses to do any additional planning to ensure he will not be penalized for inheriting this money, so my client and I have made a plan on how the funds can be inherited to ensure the funds can still be received, but not left susceptible to government claims. This is a prime example of the flexibility we help ensure for clients.

Our office is closed for Juneteenth.

Let the day remind us that freedom isn’t just a word, it’s a legacy. Let’s honor the past, celebrate the present, and fight for the future.

I was recently talking with a friend who has been wanting to do Financial Planning for several years now but her spouse isn’t on board. Her spouse is smart and resourceful, so with the advent of AI they have been consulting a chatbot for financial planning advice rather than a human planner. She confided that she feels nervous about what she doesn’t know and is even more nervous about relying on artificial intelligence to help them make such an important decision as to when she can retire. In her words, it seems, “too important to put in the hands of AI”. She asked me my thoughts, here's what I told her:
