I’m still a little stupefied that I get to write this.

I was named one of the Top 50 Women in Accounting for 2026. 🤯

But maybe the part that means the most to me is that I didn’t even know I had been nominated.

Someone believed in me enough to put my name forward, completely on her own. I found out when she told me and the nomination email landed in my inbox.

And now… this.

I’ve spent years building a career and a business around something I genuinely love. Helping business owners understand their numbers, think differently about taxes, build wealth, and create more for the people they love.

You get so busy doing the work that sometimes you forget to look up and see how far you’ve come.

Today, I’m looking up.

I’m incredibly humbled. Incredibly grateful. And still kind of wondering how the hell this happened. 😂

You can know the strategy.

There’s a big difference between getting your taxes filed and actually running your business like a business.

One waits until the year is over, adds up what happened, tells you what you owe, and sends you on your way.

The other asks better questions BEFORE it’s too late.

Is your entity structure still serving you?

Are your books clean?

Are your business and personal finances actually separate?

Are you taking every legal deduction available?

And once we’ve handled all of that… what strategies can we stack to legally minimize your tax liability?

Your goal shouldn’t be to make a s**t ton of money and then cross your fingers at tax time.

Before you accept “you made more, so you owe more,” ask better questions.

What are we doing before year-end to legally reduce my taxable income?
What tax strategies am I eligible for that I’m not currently using?
What are we changing NOW so I don’t have this exact same conversation next year?

Making more money CAN mean paying more in taxes.

But “here’s what you owe” should never be the end of the damn conversation.

Ask questions. Dig deeper. Know what’s possible.
