Tom Hegna asked Shawna Moore a question every future retiree should think about...

Her answer?

"People don't retire because they have investments...they retire because they have income."

Building wealth is important—but having a strategy to turn that wealth into reliable retirement income is what ultimately supports the lifestyle you've worked so hard to achieve.

What's more important to you in retirement: growing your investments or knowing you'll have reliable income every month?

👇 Tell us why.

One of the biggest retirement planning mistakes isn't choosing the wrong investment.

It's expecting every dollar to do the same job.

Some dollars are meant to grow.

Some are meant to provide income.

Some are there to provide stability.

The goal isn't to eliminate growth.

It's to build a retirement strategy where every dollar has a purpose.

That's what retirement planning is really about.

A 50% loss requires a 100% gain just to get back to even.

Historically, markets have recovered.

The bigger question is:

Do you have the time to wait for that recovery?

What happens when someone finally realizes they're going to be okay in retirement?

During her interview with retirement income expert Tom Hegna, Shawna Moore shared the most rewarding part of her work—and it isn't investment performance or account balances.

It's the moment when she sits down with a client, brings every piece of their retirement together into a written retirement income plan, and sees the relief on their face.

The uncertainty begins to fade. The stress starts to lift. They realize they really can retire—and that they're going to be okay.

That's why Moore Wealth Management believes retirement planning is about so much more than investments. It's about creating clarity, confidence, and peace of mind.

Financial planning is about more than numbers.

In this clip from Shawna Moore's conversation with retirement expert Tom Hegna, she shares one of the most important lessons she learned growing up around the financial services industry:

👉 This business isn't really about investments, spreadsheets, or account balances.

It's about people.

It's about helping families make confident decisions, avoid costly mistakes, and enjoy the retirement they've worked so hard to achieve.

That's the heart of what we do every day at Moore Wealth Management.

If you could remove one line from your retirement journey, which would it be?

Most people don't choose the gains.

They choose the losses.

So why do so many investors spend more time chasing returns than protecting what they've already built?

And if avoiding losses is so important, how much of your current strategy is actually focused on doing that?
