Tim holds multiple industry registrations (Series 6, 7, and 63, held through LPL Financial) along with life, health, long term care, variable life and variable annuity licenses. He holds the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) professional designation. Ben Loberg specializes in retirement, estate, and comprehensive investment and financial planning services for clients. Ben joined FSB Investment Center in January of 2016 coming from commercial banking/lending. He has more than 7 years of experience in the financial services industry. Ben holds Series 7 and 66 industry registrations through LPL Financial, along with life, health, long term care, variable life and variable annuity licenses. I’m Chad Bergstrom, a financial advisor with more than five years of experience in financial services. I grew up on a farm and ranch just outside of Wilcox, where I learned early the value of hard work, genuine relationships, and looking out for the people around you. Those lessons continue to shape who I am today.

After graduating from UNL, I began my career as a teacher. Over time, that path led me into financial services—and it turned out to be a natural fit. I’ve always had a passion for teaching, and today I get to use those same skills to help clients better understand their finances, make informed decisions, and develop a financial plan they can confidently follow.

What I enjoy most is getting to know people and building relationships that last. Life brings different seasons and challenges, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside individuals and families as they navigate those chapters and work toward a more confident financial future.

Outside of work, my family keeps me busy. My wife, Samantha, and I have been together since high school and have been married for nine years. We have three kids—Liam (6), Quinn (5), and Remi (2)—who keep us on the go! When we’re not running to activities or cheering on the kids at sporting events, you’ll find us spending time on the farm or exploring a new trail.

This year, our family made the move from Lincoln to Minden, where our two oldest started school this fall. Returning to my roots and having the opportunity to serve people in the communities I call home has always been a dream of mine.

We have some exciting things happening around here, so stay tuned! We thought that we would first take some time to introduce our team. First up, meet Ben Loberg.

For more than 10 years, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a financial advisor at the FSB Investment Center (LPL Financial). The part of my job I enjoy most is helping people navigate the transition into retirement.

For me, it starts with people. Listening to their stories, understanding what matters most to them, and helping them make financial decisions that align with their values. There’s something special about sitting across the table from someone who has spent decades working hard and helping them picture—and feel confident about—the next chapter. It is rewarding to see them finally enjoy the fruits of their labor.

But my life is about much more than work.

My faith is the foundation of who I am. Rebecca and I have been married for 16 years, and we’re blessed with three children—Barrett (14), Palmer (13), and Marshall (10). We love being outdoors, traveling, and especially sports. I’ve had the opportunity to coach my boys, and those experiences have given me some of my favorite memories as a dad.

One of our family goals is to visit all 50 states. We’re at 31 so far, so we’ve still got some work to do!

Our family is also very involved at Trinity Church, where I serve as an Elder, and I serve as treasurer on the school board at Legacy Christian School. Rebecca and I were blessed to help found the school, which is now entering its fifth year. Watching it grow has been incredibly rewarding.

When I’m not working or chasing kids around, you’ll probably find me hunting, especially bowhunting—or watching and playing sports. I’m a lifelong Husker fan, along with being a Cubs and 49ers fan. I still play slow-pitch softball and YMCA league basketball, although my body occasionally reminds me that I’m not 20 anymore!

I’m incredibly grateful for the people God has placed in my life and for the opportunity to serve others through my work, church, family, and community.

More than anything, I want to be someone people can trust—someone who genuinely cares, listens, and is willing to walk alongside people through whatever season of life they’re in.

We’re excited to share that our new entrance is NOW OPEN!

You can access The FSB Investment Center directly through our dedicated entrance on the south side of First State Bank, just off 4th Avenue in Holdrege. If you prefer, entering through the main bank entrance is always an option as well.

While the door is new, our personalized service and commitment to helping you work toward your financial goals remain the same.
