She is a licensed and ordained minister with degrees in early childhood, adult, and higher education. A writer, producer, and director, she created Everybody Needs Therapy and its 2026 production, Everybody Needs Therapy: The Reboot.

💜 Our Mission in Action

Connecting people to people and people to resources is at the heart of Spread Love of Georgia Inc.

Through our partnership and scholarship fund with Madison Family Counseling, established in 2021, we’ve helped 45 individuals receive six free mental health counseling sessions each.

Our 2025 Free Your Mind 5K brought together 60 participants. This year, we also sponsored a parent education event at Morgan County High School about digital media use and youth mental health.

These are just a few ways we’re helping our community find support, information, and connection.

💜 Join us December 6 at Empire Mills in Madison for “Finish Strong, Live Free!” RSVP by November 14.

💜 Meet Pastor Carrie Peters Reid, Founder/CEO of Spread Love of Georgia Inc.

A longtime hairstylist, Madison City Council member, devoted mother and grandmother, Pastor Carrie serves as Co-Pastor of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church alongside her husband, Pastor Derrick Reid.

Her passion for helping others is deeply personal. A tragedy before her birth left lasting grief in her family, shaping her understanding of how loss, trauma, and substance use can affect generations.

During the pandemic, she started “Friday Night Lights with Christ” on Facebook. A conversation on the program with therapist Shontell Carter White helped inspire Spread Love in 2020.

Today, her mission is to connect people to people and people to resources while advocating for mental health and against domestic violence and substance abuse.

Her message: asking for help is an act of courage. 💜
