Friday was a full day of learning at AGW!

We had the pleasure of hosting clients and fellow accounting professionals from across the area for a day of continuing professional education. The morning kicked off with an engaging ethics presentation by Mike Inzina, followed by an update on the new GASB Statement No. 103. We wrapped up the day with a Single Audit Workshop, diving into practical topics that help us better serve our governmental clients.

A big thank you to CC's Coffee House for keeping everyone fueled with breakfast and afternoon refreshments, and to Delta Biscuit Company for a fantastic lunch!

🎓 Big congratulations to Audrey Herrington!

Today, Audrey graduates with her Bachelor’s degree, and we could not be more proud of her.

She previously earned her Associate’s degree and has continued working full time while pursuing her Bachelor’s. Balancing work, classes, deadlines, studying, and real life takes serious dedication, and she’s done it with determination and grace every step of the way.

We’re lucky to have Audrey on our audit team and excited to see all the great things ahead for her.

We’re incredibly proud of our staff accountant, Jayden Bielkiewicz, for his recent accomplishments!

Jayden graduated in December with his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and was recently recognized as ULM’s 2025-2026 Top Accounting Graduate. He was also selected as a scholarship recipient by the Northeast Chapter of the Louisiana Society of CPAs.

Hard work, dedication, and a strong work ethic never go unnoticed, and we’re lucky to have him as part of the AGW team.

Congratulations, Jayden! We can’t wait to see all the great things ahead for you.

With the filing deadline here, we’re getting one question a lot:

“What if I haven’t filed yet?”

First, you’re not alone. And second, you still have a few solid options:

• **File as soon as possible**
If you have your documents ready, filing now helps minimize penalties, even if you owe.

• **Request an extension**
An extension gives you more time to file your return (typically until October), but not more time to pay. If you expect to owe, submitting an estimated payment now can help reduce penalties and interest.

• **Waiting on documents?**
It’s better to file an extension than to rush and submit inaccurate information.

The biggest mistake is doing nothing at all.
