If your business has contracted with Paychecks Plus to serve as your Registered Agent, we will take care of filing and renewing your business with the Virginia State Corporation Commission as part of our service.

FOR OUR RETAIL CLIENTS SELLING TO***CO PRODUCTS !!!

Starting October 1, 2026, Virginia is enforcing a brand-new statewide mandate requiring businesses to obtain a Retail To***co Permit issued by the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority (Virginia ABC) to legally sell ci******es, e-ci******es, liquid ni****ne, and disposable vapes. Selling covered products past this deadline without an active permit will result in misdemeanor criminal charges.
Key Deadlines & Transitions
• Effective Date: The official enforcement date is October 1, 2026.
Permit Requirements & Fees
• Per-Location Rule: Businesses must secure a separate, distinct permit for each physical storefront.
• $300 Fee: Cost for retailers who already hold an active Virginia ABC alcohol license.
• $400 Fee: Cost for standalone retailers operating without an alcohol license.
• Background Checks: Required for any individual holding a 10% or greater ownership stake in the business.
Covered vs. Exempt Products
• Included: Ci******es, e-ci******es, e-liquids, liquid ni****ne, and disposable vapes.
