Entity owners, please be aware! There are many mailed & emailed scam attempts by fake companies soliciting money for what they say is your annual registration renewal for the VA State Corporation Commission. Some of the fake companies are called "US Filing Service," "Virginia Business Filing Center," or "Corporate Records Service".
Do not pay this fee! If you have retained our affiliate company to be your Registered Agent, the annual renewal fee will come directly from us. Not a third party company like the ones listed above.
When in doubt, always let us know what you have received and we can determine its credibility.

On April 22, the Governor signed into legislation the VA Paid Family & Medical Leave Act. While much of the details on this legislation is still to be determined, the part that got our attention was how it will be funded. According to the website "PFML will be funded by a small payroll contribution shared by covered employers and employees. VEC will begin collecting contributions on April 1, 2028."

Paychecks Plus is closely monitoring this new legislation and once details emerge about the employer & employee payroll contributions, we will let you know so appropriate actions can be taken on your part to prepare for this new payroll tax.
