Identity theft and online/telephone scams are at an all time high. Protect yourself and your loved ones with these simple steps:

➡️ Shred documents that show your personal information
➡️ Shred credit card offers that arrive in the mail
➡️ Never give out personal information like your social security number over the phone or via email unless you know exactly who you are communicating with.
➡️ Take extra steps to keep your finances secure. Most reputable people will be patient.

It’s great that the IRS stopped $7 billion in identity theft refunds. Let’s protect our information and be as careful as possible.

A report from the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration found that delayed 1099-R and W-2G filings limit the IRS’s ability to spot refund fraud early.

Every morning we waved to her. She left this life doing what she loved. God Bless all involved. It hits home a bit closer than most will know. I do hope her arrangements will be shared w the public. It might just shut down the city.
