We would like to take this opportunity to thank our clients for their business and loyalty, which have been instrumental in making this year another successful tax season. Moreover, we are thankful to the clients who showed their appreciation through gifts and treats that sustained us during the last few months. Our office will close at 1pm today and will remain closed for the rest of the week for our staff to get a well deserved break!

Starting November 3rd, our office will be open 8am to 5pm, Monday through Thursday and closed on Fridays for the months of November and December. We will put up a "Sorry, We Are Closed" sign on Fridays, but we really aren't sorry!

The Internal Revenue Service has posted Revenue Procedure 2022-32 which increases the extension of time for certain widows to file an estate tax return to elect portability of the deceased spousal unused exclusion (DSUE) amount. Surviving spouses now have until the fifth anniversary of their deceased spouses death.

This procedure applies to estates that aren’t normally required to file an estate tax return because the value of the gross estate and adjusted taxable gifts is under the filing threshold.
