The 2026 tax season if upon us. The filing season begins on January 26, 2026. The Offices of Michael D. Freels will formally open on February 2, 2026. There are several changes this year, so please give yourself some time to either do your own taxes or have them done. The Offices of Michael D. Freels will always offer the same courteous and professional services as we have always done in the past. However, we have had to adjust our prices accordingly due to the rising cost of other services and items. Still, we believe that our prices will either match or outdo our competition. The basic price to file a 1040 return and state will be approximately $150 (state $39, 1040 $84.01, efile fee $26.99). If you are a student or Senior, the basic price to file will be $115 (state $39, 1040 $49.01, efile fee $26.99). Starting on January 26, 2026, you can either call or message our office to set up your appointment 10am - 5pm, 479-856-5557. Thanks!

Right now, due to Covid-19, my offices are open on a case by case basis. You will have to text or call me to set up an appointment. I can only permit one or two people in my office at a time and you must wear a mask. I have hand sanitizer.

I'm currently preparing for the 2021 Tax Season. It will definitely be very interesting next year for taxes. Keep watching these announcement for key information. Thanks.

Just an update for my business. Since I have been approved for disability after nearly 3 years, I have decided to close this business and I will no longer be doing tax preparations. You should receive a personalized email and letter later on this year. I will still have services as a Notary Public and I will also still work as a Tax Consultant and Immigration Consultant. For those of you who are still struggling to get your taxes done, well it is a great day for you. In light of the Coronavirus, the IRS has extended the deadline from April 15, 2020 to July 15, 2020! That means that my office will remain open until July 15, 2020.

Now with that said, I have implemented some cautionary measures because of the Coronavirus outbreak. I am no longer seeing people at my office personally. I can do your taxes by email, regular mail, or by texting. We can even do it by Facetime or Skype. I will get you all of the details in a separate post. I just wanted to get the good news out to everyone first.

Para las personas que estan trabajando para terminar de hacer su declaracion de impuestos antes del 15 de abril de 2020, tengo para ustedes buenas noticias. El IRS ha extendido el plazo de tiempo para entregar sus declaraciones hasta el 15 de julio de 2020! Mi oficina va a estar abierta hasta el 15 de julio!

Ahora bien, al decir eso, quiero tomar unas medidas de precaucion por el pandemia del Coronavirus. No voy a abrir la oficina fisica al publico. En vez de eso, voy a aceptar documentos y informacion por otros medios que puedan incluir el email, correo regular, y por textear. Ademas, podemos platicar por Skype y por Facebook tambien usando el video si es necesario. Voy a poner mas informacion por separado. Que buena noticias que tenemos hasta el 15 de julio para entregar las declaraciones de impuestos!

Tax season is just around the corner with a tentative start date of January 27, 2020. I will have my offices open at that time and will be able to prepare your taxes. If you have 1099-Misc forms to file, keep in mind to file them BEFORE January 31, 2020 in order to avoid possible penalties.

Sadly, I must limit the amount of clients this year. And I will be recommending to many of my clients to visit other Tax Preparers. I will certainly miss all of the clients that this change will affect. But it is a necessary change since most likely this will be my final year of preparing taxes. This change will most likely affect my clients who live in Springdale, Arkansas. When you call in I will recommend you contacting a Tax Preparer in the area where you live.
