A few days away from the office, surrounded by hundreds of accounting marketing and business development professionals, is a good reminder that no firm is navigating growth and change alone.

Last week at the Association for Accounting Marketing (AAM) Summit in Palm Springs, members of the Sorren marketing team had the opportunity to learn from industry leaders, exchange ideas with peers across the country, and have honest conversations about the evolving role of marketing in professional services. From breakout sessions and workshops to the conversations in between, the week brought fresh perspective, practical ideas, and meaningful connections.

We’re also incredibly proud to celebrate some exciting recognition from this year’s AAM Marketing Achievement Awards:

On May 12, our St. Petersburg team welcomed an incredible group of college students to Sorren for our annual Summer Leadership Day.

Throughout the day, students had the opportunity to explore careers in accounting and advisory, connect with professionals across our firm, and experience the collaborative, people-first culture that defines Sorren. From panel discussions and networking conversations to office tours and our always-competitive Office Olympics, the event was designed to give students a real-world look at the profession and the many paths available within it.

We’re grateful to everyone who helped bring the day to life and to the students who showed up ready to learn, engage, and ask thoughtful questions. Investing in the next generation of leaders is one of the most meaningful parts of what we do, and we’re excited to see where their journeys take them.

On May 11, the Sorren Gainesville, TX team partnered with Muenster Outreach & Food Pantry to help refresh and reorganize the space that serves more than 60 families across the surrounding community each month.

From restocking shelves and deep cleaning refrigerators to sweeping and mopping floors, our team worked together to help create a more welcoming and efficient experience for families who rely on the pantry. According to program organizer, Michelle Sicking, the work completed in just one day would normally take an entire week.

This past weekend, the Sorren team showed up and showed out 🚴🏃🛶

We were proud sponsors of the 50th annual Pole Pedal Paddle in Bend, Oregon, and had not one, but TWO Sorren teams competing in this incredible multi-sport relay. From mountain running at Mt. Bachelor to kayaking on the Deschutes River to a sprint finish in the Old Mill District, our teams tackled all six legs alongside more than 2,000 athletes.

Pole Pedal Paddle isn't just a race — it benefits the Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation (MBSEF), supporting over 800 junior athletes in developing skills on snow and on the bike while building values that last a lifetime.
