Are you on a limited income and struggling to pay property taxes? The deferment program lets you pay them and interest later. You can’t have made more than $61,674 in 2025 and must meet another requirement, such as being at least 65. Learn more and apply by September 8th: tax.idaho.gov/defer

DYK that you don't need to have children to claim the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC)? Workers between the ages of 25 and 65 may be able to claim up to $649 on their tax return. Use the EITC Assistant to see if you qualify for this credit.

New federal rules are taking effect for the 2026 due to the One Big Beautiful Bill Act
(OBBBA). Among these many changes, one of the major new rules impacts the treatment of charitable deductions. These changes to tax benefits for charitable giving impact both taxpayers who itemize, as well as those taking the standard deduction.

To all employers; The Idaho State Tax Commission has updated the income tax withholding tables for 2026. The Idaho Child Tax Credit has sunsetted. You don’t need to adjust withholding back to the beginning of the year, but you should use the revised tables going forward: https://tinyurl.com/yb4mu5h4
